Institute of Certified Records Managers Elects Debra Gearhart, CRM President-Elect 35-year veteran of the Dept. of History, Arts & Libraries, to begin term in January 2010

MULLIKEN, Mich. -- The Institute of Certified Records Managers (ICRM), an international certifying body for Records and Information Management Professionals, has posted their recent election results confirming Debra Gearhart, CRM as President-Elect, to begin term in January 2010.

Debra Gearhart, CRM, FAI has been employed by the Dept. of History, Arts & Libraries, Records Management Services for 35 years. She also teaches Records and Information Management courses at Lansing Community College and Wayne State University.

As a 26 year member of ARMA International, she received the prestigious Company of Fellows Award in 1993. She received her Certified Records Manager (CRM) designation in July, 1988 and is currently serving as a Senior Board Advisor to the Institute of Certified Records Managers (ICRM). She served as Regent for Exam Development on the ICRM from 2004 - 2008. While Regent for Exam Development she has led many improvement projects including a new outline, a new preparatory handbook, electronic testing and an online test bank.

Debra and her family have lived in Mulliken, Michigan for the past 30 years.
